3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must be at least 16 years old to use this service
• One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one account

3.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. Credit System and Payments

4.1 Credits

• Our service operates on a credit-based system
• Credits are required to generate documents using our AI service
• Credits are non-transferable and non-refundable except where required by law
• Credits do not expire but accounts inactive for 3+ years may be subject to closure

4.2 Payments

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Prices are displayed in Euros (EUR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes
• Payment is required before credits are added to your account
• Refunds may be provided at our discretion for unused credits within 30 days

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Uses

• Creating professional resumes and cover letters for legitimate job applications
• Generating business documents for professional purposes
• Personal use for career development

5.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the service to:

• Create false, misleading, or fraudulent documents
• Include defamatory, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise system security
• Use the service for automated or bulk processing without permission
• Resell or redistribute generated documents as a service

6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

• You retain ownership of the content you upload and the documents we generate for you
• You grant us permission to process your content to provide our services
• You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content you upload

6.2 Our Intellectual Property

• The Amstel Lab platform, algorithms, and technology remain our property
• You may not reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works
• Our branding, trademarks, and copyrighted materials are protected

7. Data Processing and Privacy

Your use of our service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with GDPR and other applicable privacy laws.

8. Service Availability and Quality

• We strive to maintain high service availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts service

8.2 AI-Generated Content

• AI-generated content is provided as-is and may require review and editing

• You are responsible for reviewing and approving all generated documents

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amstel Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.

• The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee that generated documents will result in job offers
• AI technology has limitations and may produce unexpected results
• Users should verify all information in generated documents

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may stop using our service at any time and request account deletion.

11.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your account for:

• Violation of these terms
• Fraudulent or abusive behavior
• Extended period of inactivity (3+ years)
• Legal or regulatory requirements

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Dutch courts, except where EU consumer protection laws provide additional protections.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by email or through the service. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
